Tibhar Nimbus VIP Rubber

Before the end of the Beijing Olympic Games Tibhar's rubber experts prepared several new rubber samples for their top players such as Vladimir Samsonov, to test. In order for Samsonov and many other top players to make an smooth transition from the speed glue era to the new clean future, it was critical that any replacement rubbers provided the highest level of playing characteristics that they had been used to using. As soon as Samsonov returned from the Olympics he began testing these new rubber samples. He immediately favoured the Tibhar NIMBUS top - sheet when used in combination with a newly designed special hard V.I.P. power sponge. It is thanks to this collaboration between Samsonov and Tibhar that they managed to optimise the very hard sponge and overcome the loss of the speed glue effect that top players still wanted. Nimbus V.I.P. was born.


Samsonov used this Nimbus VIP rubber for the first time in the recent European Championships held in St. Petersburg and had amazing success! He remained unbeaten during the whole team event and in the Mens singles event took the SILVER medal! NIMBUS V.I.P. is now in full production and available for you to try! After the glue ban TIBHAR aimed to adapt their new conceived blades to the new generation of rubbers, and most especially to the NIMBUS rubbers.
